Our custom holidays feature allows you to define personalized holidays for your organization and to assign them to predefined locations. Below, you will learn how to create a new custom holiday or edit an existing one. Go to Settings and select "Custom Holiday/ Mandatory Leave'.
1. Create a new Custom Holiday
Click the top right on "Add Holiday":
Now you can personalize your rest day according to your preferences:
- First set the date for your custom holiday and then select the corresponding name (e.g. Mardi Gras)
- Decide whether the rest day should apply in the morning, afternoon, or for the entire day and at which locations.
- Specify whether this day should be defined as mandatory leave, meaning it will also reduce the vacation balance.
- Then click 'Save' to confirm your entries.
2. Edit existing Custom Holidays
Click on a predefined Custom Holiday such as New Year’s Eve, to edit it. You can change the name, all related settings, and the assigned locations.
Have fun using our solution!

I have set up a custom holiday but when staff enter days off during that day it is still counting. The date is Boxing Day 2020, which falls on a Saturday, and we are trying to put it for the next business day Monday. There is no days set to the workers schedules except mon-friday that could conflict with this setting. It is also set for the entire day, and also to the only one location we have for all users.
