From "Okta Admin" page:
- Click "Applications" in sidebar
- Click "Create App Integration" button
In App Creation wizard:
- Select OIDC - OpenID Connect
- Select Web Application
- "Next"
In "New App Integration" Settings
- Set App name
- Set Logo (optional) (420 x 120 pixel; JPG, or GIF (PNG is best); < 1 MB.)
- Grant Type should be "Authorization Code"
- Sign-in redirect URIs: https://app.absence.io/api/v2/oauth/okta/login/callback
- Sign-out redirect URIs: https://app.absence.io/actions/login
- Trusted Origins - Base URIs: https://app.absence.io
- Assignments: Skip group assignment for now
- Select "Save"
App should now be saved.
In App Integration settings:
- Client Credentials should be "Client secret"
Edit "General Settings"
- Set "Login initiated by" to "Either Okta or App"
- Select "Display application icon to users"
- Select "Redirect to app to initiate login (OIDC Compliant)"
- Set "Initiate Login URI" to https://app.absence.io/api/v2/oauth/okta/login
Once you have the app set up in Okta you will need 3 pieces of data to configure the integration in absence.io
- Your Okta Domain: https://<some-sub-domain>.okta.com
- make sure it is not the admin domain https://<some-sub-domain>-admin.okta.com
- Your App’s Client ID
- Your App’s Client Secret
The Client ID and Secret will be found in your Okta App’s settings:
