Introduction to Time Tracking Models
In absence.io we want to reflect different time tracking approaches. We have two fundamental different ways to manage your users overtime.
1. Compensate all tracked ours into an allowance so employees can request leave as available from there tracked time. See here for more on this use case.
2. Setup flexitime so employees can decide when to attend and miss work based on there overtime balance. See here for more on this use case.
To make either approach work, you will have to first setup user schedules, working days and think about your public holidays and how absences should affect the scheduled hours.

Flexitime: Overtime balances & taking time off
