Compliance with working time and break rules has become increasingly important in recent years. absence.io now supports your company in a simple way so that violations can be quickly identified and rectified. To activate this function, go to “Settings” > “Employee protection” and activate the toggle at the top.
In the sections below, you can then define and activate the working time rules according to the labour law in your country and/or your company guidelines. Here it is possible to set guidelines and minimum break times as well as activate notifications by e-mail.
Violations of these rules are highlighted in color and marked in the employee's time sheet. Depending on the settings, they can change the incorrect time entries themselves or have them changed, to ensure compliance with, e.g. the German Working Hours Act (ArbZG) BGBl. I p. 1170, 1171.
If e.g. German labor law is observed, all entries that do not comply with the following rules are highlighted:
- after 6 hours of work, a break of at least 30 minutes is required
- after a total of 9 hours of work, a total break of 45 minutes should be observed
- a maximum total working time of 10 hours per day must not be exceeded
Have fun with our solution!
