In this article we will show you how to setup your employees so they can start tracking their time with our Terminal.
Users need to have an absence.io account and ID card or token (provided with our terminals) in order to start and end time entries on terminals. And of course you need to have our Terminal installed and ready to go.
- First, make sure the user is invited and active in absence.io by going to their profile -> basic information
- Take one of the cards or tokens shipped with your terminal and take note of the ID printed on the front.
- Now assign this card to a user by going to profile -> public information -> group "Time Tracking". Simply type (or scan) the ID of the card into the field 'Punch Card ID'. Be sure to click save.
Your employee is now ready to start tracking.
Notes
The settings below the Punch Card ID field do not matter for tracking time with terminals. Users can always create entries with their Punch Card ID and the Terminals. You can use these settings to make sure users cannot create entries on the web and mobile apps.
