Setting up e-mail notifications for different leave types

You want to receive notifications if an absence type without approval obligation is used? No problem. We offer two different possibilities: a notification within a department OR a general notification for the respective absence type.

1) Notification within a department

When using this possibility, you can determine employees within a department who shall be informed if a defined absence type is used.

• Go to "Settings", clic on "Departments" and choose the corresponding department.
• Clic on "e-mail notifications" and then on the blue button "Add Notification". Here you can decide if the notification shall be sent to determined e-mail addresses or to determined absence.io users. 

• If you want to send the notification to absence.io users, you can select one or several users from a dropdown menu, which includes all active users.  
• After having chosen who shall receive the notification, you can select for which absence type it shall be sent - this rule is then valid for all users within this department.

• You need to modify something afterwards? No problem: you can make changes at any time, using the small pencil symbol . 

2) General notification for absence types

In case you haven't created any departments in your company account, there is another way to receive notifications if employees use certain absences which are not subject to approval.

• Go to "Settings", clic on "Absence type" and then on the requested absence type.
• On the very bottom of the absence type you find the field "Bei der Übersicht des Abwesenheitstyps erscheint ganz unten ein Feld "Add notification". Again, here you can decide if the notification shall be sent to an e-mail address or to an absence.io user.

• If you want to send the notification to absence.io users, you can select one or several ones from a list of all active users.      

       

• As soon as you have pressed the "Save" button, the absence type is updated and shows all selected employees under "Add Notification".
